However, I must make the point that there are all kinds of
quitting - some are motivated by a multitude of reasons - and some motivated by no reason at all except to relieve discomfort. Quitting, to me, means arriving at a conclusion about where one finds them self and coming to the realization that "right now" is incongruent to where one wants to ultimately be. It could be a job, a relationship, a residence or location, or a spiritual centeredness.
I prefer the phrase, as my mentor has used before, that change is a decisive "midcourse correction." This means that while you're in motion, you have every right and every capability to change the direction you are headed and you are not, in fact, starting over, because you have already laid a groundwork and a foundation for your life - you are merely changing the route.
Never fear moving on, as it is necessary for personal growth and development throughout our the course of our lives. Take the wheel, press the gas pedal and get movin'!!
